BMW has an M5 taxi that can really take you for a ride.
The BMW Ring-Taxi offers a chance to experience the notorious Green Hell - that is a trip around the Nürburgring's Nordschleife track, one of the longest tracks in the world at 20 km.
Well, one may want to have someone else do the driving to make some of those pretty trick curves and bends on the Green Hell. There are a total of 73 of them.
But how exactly do you hail this BMW M5 Ring-Taxi? Is there a number to call or can you just flag him down as he zips by you?

BMW Vision ED Concept Slated for 2012 as M1 Green Drive

A new report has surfaced indicating that BMW will build a production version of the Vision EfficientDynamics Concept.

Set to revive the legendary M1 name, the fuel efficient supercar will reportedly adopt the concept's aggressive styling and advanced powertrain. Inside, the car will feature a three-dimensional head-up display, a "digital dash" and a two-plus-two seating arrangement.

Like the VED concept, the M1 will be powered by a three-cylinder turbo-diesel engine and an electric motor. While details are limited, the combined output is expected to be more than 350 bhp and 800 Nm of torque. If these figures are correct, the M1 will likely accelerate from 0-60 mph in less than five seconds, before hitting an electronically limited top speed of 155 mph.

According to an Auto Express source, the engine is almost production ready and some of the hybrid components will be taken from the X6 ActiveHybrid.

If BMW is planning on production, look for a launch in 2012.

BMW Launches First Video Tease for Vision EfficientDynamics Sports Car

The BMW Vision EfficientDynamics is a new "green" sports car concept that will be officially revealed in a few weeks time at the Frankfurt Motor Show. Until then, the Bavarian automaker is happy to tease us with this video that contains some driving footage of the concept without actually showing the car itself.

However, towards the end of the film, there's a vague shot of the concept and our guess is that it shows part of the car's rear-end design.

Allow us to remind you that earlier this month, a set of spy shots, allegedly depicting the Vision EfficientDynamics concept, made their way into the net. That particular vehicle, which appears to be a four-door coupe, may very well be a entirely different model than the one teased in this official video.
